The fine print, made clear.

1. The app

DuoOS is an Android Home Screen app for foldable phones, distributed through Google Play. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DuoOS on devices you own or control, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Free and Pro

The core of DuoOS is free. DuoOS Pro unlocks additional Interface Styles, widgets, icon styles, controls, Focus modes and wallpapers. Pro is offered as:

• Yearly, an auto-renewing subscription billed once a year;
• Monthly, an auto-renewing subscription billed once a month;
• Lifetime, a one-time purchase that does not renew.

Prices are shown in Google Play before you buy, in your local currency, including any applicable taxes.

3. Subscriptions

Free trial

If you are eligible, the Yearly plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Eligibility is decided by Google Play, generally for people who have never subscribed before. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and you are charged the yearly price. DuoOS can remind you before the trial ends.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, and your Google Play payment method is charged, unless you cancel before the renewal date. If a price changes, Google Play will notify you in advance as its policies require.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › DuoOS Pro › Cancel subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Payment problems

If a renewal payment fails, Google Play may give you a grace period during which Pro stays on. If payment is not resolved, Pro turns off. Your Home Screen, pages, folders and widgets are never removed: only Pro looks return to their free versions.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies. You can request a refund through Google Play. If you need help, email us.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use DuoOS lawfully and only on devices you are allowed to modify.
• Don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute DuoOS, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
• Don’t try to bypass Pro purchases or interfere with the app’s operation.

5. Optional system access

Some features rely on Android permissions you grant yourself, such as accessibility access, notification access or the optional Full Experience setup through Shizuku. These change how your phone behaves. You can turn them off at any time. If you used Full Experience, uninstall with Settings › General › Remove DuoOS inside the app, which restores your phone’s own status icons and pop-ups.

6. Privacy

How DuoOS handles data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: no account, no ads, no analytics, and your data stays on your phone.

7. Third-party services

DuoOS uses a few third-party services: Google Play for purchases, Open-Meteo for weather, ExchangeRate-API for currency rates, and, if you choose it, Shizuku. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Updates

We may update DuoOS to add, change or remove features. We will try not to remove a feature that is part of Pro during a period you have paid for. Some features depend on Android, your phone and other apps, and may stop working if they change.

9. Trademarks

DuoOS is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Samsung or any other phone maker. Galaxy is a trademark of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

10. Disclaimer

DuoOS is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of DuoOS. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for DuoOS in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

12. Ending these terms

You can stop using DuoOS at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in Google Play). We may suspend your licence if you seriously breach these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use DuoOS after a change means you accept the new terms.
