Data deletion

Delete your data.

DuoOS has no account and no servers holding your data. Everything it stores is on your phone, so you can delete all of it yourself, at any time.

Effective

Option 1: Clear the app’s data

This deletes everything DuoOS has stored and keeps the app installed.

  1. Open Android Settings › Apps.
  2. Tap DuoOS, then Storage.
  3. Tap Clear data (or Clear storage) and confirm.

Option 2: Uninstall DuoOS

Uninstalling deletes all of DuoOS’s data from your phone.

  1. If you used Full Experience, open DuoOS Settings › General › Remove DuoOS. It brings your phone’s own status icons and pop-ups back, then uninstalls. You’re done.
  2. Otherwise:
  3. Open Android Settings › Apps › DuoOS and tap Uninstall. Or touch and hold DuoOS in Google Play and choose Uninstall.

What gets deleted

  • Your Home Screen layout, pages, folders and widgets
  • Your settings and preferences
  • Any photo you chose as a wallpaper (the copy inside DuoOS, not the original)
  • Cached weather and location, step count and crash logs
  • Anything brought over with the cable transfer, and saved layouts

Nothing is kept anywhere else by us, so there is nothing more to delete on our side.

Also worth knowing

  • Subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting data or uninstalling. Cancel in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
  • Your purchase history is held by Google Play. To delete it, use your Google Account settings.
  • If your phone’s backup is on, Android may keep a copy of DuoOS’s settings in your Google account backup. You can manage or delete it in Android Settings › Google › Backup.
